Location: The Falkland House School, Fife, Scotland, KY15 7AEe
Salary: £23,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our fantastic team at Falkland House School
Job purpose
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring Garden and surrounding areas, including pathways, hedging, trees, car parking and external play areas are well maintained.
- Move heavy and awkward shaped furniture and supplies
- To supervise all external contractors ensuring that all necessary procedures are adhered to.
- Maintain security of the site e.g. opening and closing of premises in line with procedures
- Be a named key holder for emergency call outs. Liaise with the alarm company as and when required.
- To ensure that all equipment and materials are used in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
- To ensure that company tools and equipment are kept in good order and propose solutions to repair any faulty tools or equipment to the School Administration Manager.
- To have weekly meetings with the SLT to discuss the operation of the site.
- To undertake banking runs as and when required.
- To provide transport duties including mini bus runs as required
The successful applicant will previous experience in a similar setting and hold a clean full UK Driving Licence.

Falkland House School is an independent school offering day and residential placements to boys with autism and complex needs, including learning difficulties. The majority of young people are residential placements aged 8-18 years old and are a mix of 38 and 52 weeks.
The site is based in Fife, Scotland and is part of Acorn Care and Education, the second largest private sector provider of special needs education in the country operating 20 schools and 19 residential homes for children and young people.
